Antique chromo lithograph of the Cydonia Sargenti, 1903

This colourful and detailed chromolithographic plate of the Cydonia Sargenti originates from the 1903 edition of the Wiener Illustrierte Garten-Zeitung, the illustrated Viennese horticultural magazine published by the Austrian Kaiserlich-Königliche Gartenbau-Gesellschaft. 

The magazines were authored and edited by Alfred Burgerstein (1850-1929), a botanist, teacher and and secretary-general of the Gartenbaugesellschaft.

This exquisite 119 year old plate is in excellent condition and comes with a pre-cut high quality matboard with a light sage green coloured top layer. The matboard is acid-free, protecting the print.
