Antique print of equestrianism / horse riding, 1922

This fascinating plate, based on a steel engraving, is completely filled with detailed illustrations of equestrianism, showing various horse riding styles and outfits throughout history. The print originates from an antique French encyclopedia called 'Larousse Universel en 2 Volumes' from 1922. 

This 100-year-old plate comes with a pre-cut high quality matboard with an indigo coloured top layer. The matboard is acid-free, protecting the print.
